Laura McWhite To All Instructors
Hey there! I’m Laura McWhite, and my journey into teaching started with a front-row seat in my mom’s high school English classroom. Inspired by her dedication, I earned my Bachelor in Education from Idaho State University in 1991, eager to follow in her footsteps. After teaching English and Journalism at South Fremont Jr. High in Idaho, life took me on an unexpected adventure to Fairbanks, Alaska, where I discovered the vibrant world of homeschooling. Witnessing families embrace this unique path ignited a passion within me which I wanted to share with each of my children as they became a part of my family. Fast forward to today, and I've spent over two decades teaching small group English classes, both online and in-person for my own children and others who I grew to love as my own. Through this journey, I've learned the importance of accountability and the joy of setting our own schedules. But here's the real deal—I'm not just here because of a degree. I'm here because I love homeschooling, and I understand the homeschooling community. It's a lifestyle that shapes families in profound ways, and I'm here to support you and your children as you navigate this incredible journey. So let's dive in together, embrace the joys, and conquer the challenges as we embark on this unforgettable adventure of learning and growth!
